Thanks for stopping by! If you are interested in a Pacific Northwest engagement session I’d love to hear from you. Please use the contact form at the top of the page or email me directly at mf@mathiasfastphotography.com. In addition to PNW engagement sessions I am currently booking Vancouver and Cape Town weddings for this year and next.

A love for the Pacific Northwest landscape played a large role in both Zara and Chris moving to Vancouver so it was important for them to showcase it in their engagement photos. I had seen some Brandywine Falls engagement photos before and it seemed like the perfect location to start. Located just outside Whistler, its an incredibly beautiful and powerful place but can be a real challenge to photograph. The high, green canyon walls make for tricky lighting and as you get closer to the waterfall the mist soaks everything. I normally like to “ease” my clients into their engagement session but when there’s a wall of water pounding down behind them it’s tough to do :)  Zara and Chris were all over it though and absolutely smashed it.

Our next stop took us back down highway 99 to the Sea to Sky Gondola. It’s a popular spot for engagement and wedding photos but the always changing light means there’s always unique photos to be had. On this day we waited out a brief period of rain before getting some incredible sunshine.

The last stop on for their Pacific Northwest engagement photos was Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. It’s a place that needs no introduction – a quick scroll through past blog entries and you’ll see it’s my favorite place in Vancouver for nature engagement photos.
