Camp Fircom Wedding Cost

When you book Camp Fircom for your wedding you book the entire site and pay a buy-out fee which gives you exclusive use of all the accommodations, grounds, and services. This is two nights, 120 acres and from 150-175 people. Included is also linens, glassware, tables and chairs along with a range of activities. All you need to provide is decor, flowers and alcohol. Catering costs are in addition to the buy-out fee and vary depending on your food choices.

The buy-out fee for a wedding at Camp Fircom ranges from $15,000 to $19,000 depending on the time of year. Catering minimums are in addition to the buy-out fee and range from $6,000 – $9000.

If you are planning a camp wedding there is no better venue in BC then Camp Fircom. Located on Gambier Island, this destination wedding venue is located just a short boat ride from Vancouver but makes you feel miles away. Some of my favorite weddings to photograph have been ones where the couple spends and entire weekend with their guests and Fircom allows you to do just that. Not only does a weekend wedding take away a lot of stress/nervousness from the actual wedding day but it also allows you to spend much more quality time with your guests. At this camp wedding venue you have plenty of activities to keep everyone busy as well. From archery to stand up paddle boarding and hiking, Camp Fircom is the perfect adventure wedding destination. Accomodations range from rustic to luxury and can fit up to 200 people. Due to its location, Camp Fircom strives to be a sustainable wedding venue and achieves by providing its own electricity and well water and composting. In addition to being a low waste wedding venue, events at Fircom help a non-profit provide awesome camping experience to children and families from the downtown eastside. You have a number of indoor and outdoor options for your wedding at Camp Fircom:

Wedding Locations at Camp Fircom

Main Field – Best suited for large groups from 120-200 people, the main field is a favorite ceremony location and has Howe Sound and the north shore mountains as a backdrop.

Dining Hall Field – Adjacent to the main field just over the stream, this field is a great spot for cocktail hour. The tall trees provide shade on hot summer afternoons and the reception dining hall is a very short walk away.

Jubilee Hall – A great spot for bride or groom to get ready in. The heritage building has a big set of stairs out front that make for a grand entrance to your wedding ceremony.

Dining Hall – The most popular place for a wedding reception at Camp Fircom. The dining hall features a tall wood beam ceiling, skylights and great views of the woods and ocean. The surrounding windows also make for great natural light wedding photos. The Dining hall can seat up to 200 people.

Breezeway – Attached to the dining hall, the breezeway is a large undercover space and has a fireplace – the perfect place to dance the night away.

Outdoor Chapel – Another ceremony location, this one located down a narrow path in a peaceful and intimate clearing. Benches line the perimeter and allow for up to 80 people.

Promontory and the Pavilion – This is where the wedding ceremony above took place. Overlooks canoe cove and is adjacent to the pavilion which is another covered wedding location on rainy days. The open air pavilion is newly built and provides views on all sides.

The Benches – My favorite wedding ceremony location at Camp Fircom and the one best suited for adventurous couples. Overlooking Howe Sound and tucked away at the end of a short path, this terraced bluff is perfect for groups of 50 people or less. Some of the my favorite Camp Fircom wedding photos have taken place at this location.

Camp Fircom also provides its own catering both for the entire weekend and the actual wedding itself. Please get in touch directly with the camp for detailed menus.
