Wow, what a crazy week and a bit. 9 days, 5 weddings. Some very long but very rewarding days. I’ve said it before but I’m so blessed to get to do this job. Getting to know new people, the responsibility of photographing such an important day…I’m loving it more and more. It’s both humbling and rewarding. Humbling that people respect my work enough to entrust me to shoot their wedding day and rewarding when I hear that they love their pictures.
I shot the wedding below at the beginning of July on one of the hottest days this summer (for this Vancouverite at least). Leah & Jesse had wanted to take their engagement pictures with some old planes (Jesse’s a pilot) here in Vancouver but unfortunately we couldn’t find anywhere close. The engagement session’s loss was the wedding day’s gain – Leah put an ad in the local paper and was fortunate enough to hear from someone who would allow us to us his private plane. It was probably the most unique photo shoot I’ve ever done and definitely one of the coolest. Everything about this wedding was awesome. Their ceremony & reception were held at the stunning Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Club and their reception featured the best father/daughter dance I’ve ever witnessed. youtube gold I tell you.
