Thanks for stopping by! If you’ve landed here chances are you’re trying to see what a wedding at Steamworks Brewpub in Vancouver looks like. I photographed a wedding at this iconic restaurant very early in my career as wedding photographer and you can see a very small selection of those images below. My photography style and knowledge has grown since then however and I hope to be back soon to shoot another Steamworks wedding. I’d love for you to take a look at some of my more recent work in the links below and see if it resonates with you. In addition to my wedding portfolio I’ve included links to other Vancouver restaurant wedding venues that could be of interest to you.
L’Abattoir Restaurant (Another great gastown wedding venue!)
Brix + Mortar Restaurant Wedding Venue (Very similiar feel to Steamworks)
Bridges Restaurant Wedding Venue
Shaughnessy Restaurant Wedding Venue
A little bit more about this steampunk wedding venue located in Gastown, Vancouver. Steamworks is a versatile wedding venue at the edge of downtown that can host both intimate weddings and large weddings. Located inside the landing building, most couples choose to have their wedding ceremony in front of the 30-foot cathedral style arched windows that the harbour and North Shore Mountains. The wedding ceremony space has a much more polished and modern feel to it than the rest of the venue but it adds a beautiful contrast. The atrium has high ceilings and is perfect for an intimate luxury wedding. Waterfront wedding venues in Vancouver are hard to come by and Steamworks restaurant is definitely the most unique. Because it can be a somewhat challenging space to host a wedding I highly recommend hiring a wedding planner to help ensure every detail is taken care of for you. I have worked with all the best wedding planners in the city and am more than happy to recommend a few. In terms of wedding receptions at Steamworks you have three room options all with different layouts and atmospheres. The wine cellar at Steamworks brewpub can seat up to 40 guests, making it the ideal venue for an intimate Gastown wedding. The cozy dark wood atmosphere also makes for a very private affair. The harbour view room is my personal favorite wedding reception space at Steamworks. The windows along one wall allows guest to watch the ships come through the harbour and the architecture inside is historic. Slightly larger than the wine cellar in that it can seat up to 60 people, the centerpiece of the room is a 300 year old fountain that doubles as a bar. My second favorite option for your Gastown wedding at Steamworks is the Uber lounge. One the most stylish wedding venue spaces in Vancouver that can host up to 110 people for a buffet reception. What makes the Uber lounge a fantastic wedding venue is that it is located directly adjacent to the aforementioned atrium. It can be the perfect wedding ceremony and reception combination! The atrium can also double as a dance floor later in the evening to allow more space inside the Uber lounge. The combined views from both the atrium and the Uber lounge help make Steamworks the most unique wedding venue in Vancouver.
