To see another wedding I have photographed in Europe, take a look Michael and Chloe’s Tuscany Villa wedding.
You would think it would be tough to photograph and really capture a couple that you only just met, but the truth is, the pressure’s really on when you’ve known the groom your entire life. As was the case with my younger brother Hans and his bride Sophie: such a bright, uniquely matched and authentically HAPPY couple. Hans met Sophie at school in Sweden and their whirlwind romance led them to August’s intimate destination wedding in the heart of the Black Forest, Germany. The “Standesamt” (marriage ceremony) took place in a village that was so cute, you could close your eyes and hear “It’s a Small World” playing in the background. They offset this adorable touch, however, by kicking off their marriage in a badass Benz- which is just so Hans and Sophie- a little bit of everything, in good measure ;)
The Black Forest is famous the world over which makes it one of the best places to have a destination wedding. There are plenty of both historical and modern wedding venues in the Black forest to host your celebrations. Ever thought of having a your wedding ceremony in a castle? What about exchanging vows in a intimate ceremony in a forest clearing? Its all possible here :)
A few words from the groom on his experience working with me:
” My wife and I were so pleased to have Mathias shoot our destination wedding in the Black Forest of Germany. He did a phenomenal job coordinating our 20 person wedding party with professional, patient guidance. He was extremely organized and hard working even speaking fluent German to help the non-english speaking guests feel comfortable!
His passion is evident by the way he goes about his work and we regularly recommend him for all kinds of photography work.”
