As a professional wedding photographer for over a decade, I have had the privilege of documenting love stories at almost every major venue in the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. One of the most common questions I get from newly engaged couples is, “Where should we get married?”
British Columbia offers an embarrassment of riches when it comes to scenery. From heritage buildings in the center of downtown Vancouver to tented beachfront venues, rustic lodges, and luxury hotel ballrooms, this region truly has it all.
Whether you are planning a massive celebration or an intimate elopement, choosing the right location is the first step in your journey. Below are my top choices for the best wedding venues in Vancouver and Kelowna for 2026.

Planning Your Vancouver Wedding
What is the average cost of a wedding venue in Vancouver? Venue fees vary wildly, from $1,500 for small parks to $10,000+ for luxury hotels. On average, expect to spend between $3,000 and $8,000 for a venue rental fee in the Lower Mainland.
What is the best time of year to get married in Vancouver? July and August are the driest months and the most popular. However, September is often beautiful (and slightly cooler), and “Raincouver” weddings in the spring can be lush and green if you have a solid indoor backup plan.
Do these venues require a wedding planner? While some venues like hotels have in-house coordinators, they generally look after the venue, not your specific wedding details. For unique spaces like The Wallace or The Loft, hiring a day-of coordinator is highly recommended to manage logistics.
