Cecil Green Park House Wedding Cost

Wedding venue rates at Cecil Green House are split into two daily time slots and range from $1500 for a morning rental in the off season to $10,000 for a full day Saturday rental during the summer. Included in all rates is use of the property, tables and chairs along with a day of coordinator. Food and beverage minimums are charged separately and couples must use Scholar’s catering.

I’ve shot at this venue so many times I’d consider myself a Cecil Green Park House wedding photographer. That said, I’m always looking forward to photographing here and its even better when I get to photograph an incredible couple like Shawn and Karlee. I’ve known them for years (Shawn and I went to school together) and I was honored when they reached out and asked me to photograph their Cecil Green Wedding. I started the day taking pictures of Karlee and her bridesmaids as they got ready at Faye Smith Makeup studio in Vancouver. It’s a great alternative to getting ready in a small hotel room and the décor and design of the room made for great wedding photos. Karlee and her ladies brought such great energy that carried throughout the day. After getting into her stunning Inbal Dror wedding gown Karlee had an amazing first look with her dad before practicing their dance quickly. Shawn and Karlee both wanted forest weddings photos near Vancouver so I found a great spot in Stanley Park for their first look. We walked the trails to a couple other locations before heading to Jericho beach for the last of their wedding photos. Soon enough it was time for their wedding at Cecil Green Park house and as guests started to arrive Karlee hid in one of the getting ready rooms. While many wedding venues in Vancouver have a small space for the bride to do final touch-ups, Cecil green offers an entire room. Some of my favorite weddings photos at Cecil Green have been taken in this space – the light is incredible! Leo and his team at Wish Events had the entire property looking stunning with personal and unique wedding décor throughout. The wedding ceremony took place on the back lawn at Cecil Green where most do. The walk down the stairs is the most dramatic entrance of any wedding venue in Vancouver and Karlee looked incredible as she made her way down. The wedding ceremony was filled with lots of laughter which made for great candid photos. After the ceremony and a large group picture we took family pictures on the property. One of the great things about having your wedding at Cecil green is how big the venue is. While guest had cocktails on the outdoor patio and back lawn, we had plenty of private space for family portraits. I have shot a small intimate wedding at Cecil green house but in my opinion it works better for large weddings due to the size of the property. Karlee envisioned unique pieces of furniture throughout the venue for guests to enjoy and thanks to Leo and his team it happened. Some of the oversized chairs also made for great wedding portraits. While Cecil Green host most weddings receptions indoor, my favorite is out on the patio. It’s one of the best spaces for an outdoor summer wedding reception in Vancouver. The setting makes for a great luxury wedding. Part way through their outdoor reception I stole Shawn and Karlee away for a few more sunset wedding photos on the upstairs balcony. The view over Howe Sound and the north shore mountains are incredible and make for very dramatic wedding photos. While they chose to have their Cecil Green wedding reception outside, Shawn and Karlee had their first dance inside the main room. Accompanied by the fantastic Martin Acosta on the guitar and a spotlight from above, the night couldn’t have ended any better.
