Thanks for stopping by! If you are considering having your wedding at Stanley Park Pavilion in Vancouver let me be the first to tell you – it is the best wedding venue in the city. I absolutely love photographing there and if you still need a photographer for your big day I’d be thrilled to hear from you. Below are photos from various celebrations along with Stanley Park pavilion wedding prices.
Stanley Park Pavilion Wedding Cost
While Stanley Park is one of the more expensive wedding venues in Vancouver, there are more affordable rates available for weekdays in the offseason. The pavilion remains a stunning venue at all times of the year so I highly recommend considering one of these more popular dates if you are look to keep your budget down. Couples wanting to get married at Stanley Park Pavilion have the option of holding both their wedding ceremony and reception at the venue or solely their ceremony. Ceremony only rates begin at $2900 during the low season (mid December – mid March) and include use of the formal garden in front of the pavilion along chairs and access to a bridal room. In case of poor weather ceremonies take place in the tea room. Ceremony only bookings are also restricted to 11am-2pm
Reception pricing is in addition to ceremony pricing to give couples the option of getting married elsewhere before returning to Stanley Park for their reception. Reception rates are made up of a wedding amenity package and food and beverage miniums. The food and beverage wedding minimum at Stanley Park Pavilion ranges from $5,000 to $18,000.
Total reception cost ranges from $8000 to $23,000 when the food and beverage minimums are combined. The wedding amenity package includes a large range of items, from day of on-site coordinator to tables, chairs and a shuttle service. A little bit more about what makes the Stanley Park Pavilion such a great wedding venue. Surrounded by forest at the edge of Stanley Park, the pavilion gives one the feeling of being far from the city despite being just minutes from downtown. Most couple chooses to get ready at one of the many hotels in downtown Vancouver before making their way into the park. The proximity to both urban and nature locations gives you a range of backdrops for portraits and two separate locations are often possible. I have years of experience shooting weddings in Stanley Park and know of many private places for photos away from the crowds. Stanley Park Pavilion is a very versatile wedding venue in that it can host both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. The all-white interior means you can host a variety of weddings – anything from a modern feel to something more rustic. The primary ceremony venue is on the front lawn between the impressive flower beds. The heritage wedding venue provides the backdrop as you say your I do’s. The popular summer months of July and August are the most popular dates but also the most beautiful as the greenery climbing the front of the venue is the fullest. A rainy day backup is necessary for any Vancouver wedding and the Tea Room is a great option that allows for plenty of natural light due the multiple windows. The natural gardens out front and the team room indoors also provide a setting for your cocktail hour. The open concept space allows for great flow and allows you to mingle with all your guests while still maintaining an intimate feel. The wood-burning fireplace also makes for a cozy space when the weather outside turns bad. Wedding receptions are held in Lord Stanley’s Ballroom – again a very versatile space. Renovated in the past few years to allow for a greater variety of wedding styles, the ballroom provides seating for up to 180 guests. While ideally suited for larger weddings, Stanley Park can also suite more intimate weddings in the bar and grill area. What helps set the Stanley Park Pavilion apart from other wedding venues in Vancouver is the level of service and catering. The food options are amazing and the service is second to none. I always recommend that my couples hire a wedding planner but thanks to the pavilion’s in house coordinator it isn’t always necessary at this venue. When it comes to wedding photos at Stanley Park Pavilion you are spoiled for choice. The venue itself provides a great backdrop and the surrounding forests make for a very natural setting. With the ocean and urban dowtown buildings nearby you can really go to any location you’d like.
