Sean and Jennifer had their barn wedding on her parent’s property in Abbotsford near Vancouver. After their ceremony at a nearby Catholic church in Chilliwack, we returned to the Blue Heron Sanctuary down the road for wedding portraits. Dinner was eaten family style outside along a winding path and a barn provided the perfect spot to dance the night away. The entire wedding was filled with amazing diy details made mostly by the bride herself. Everything suited both the bride and groom as well as the theme of the wedding perfectly. A few months prior to their diy wedding, I stopped by the property to take a tour of what Jennifer had planned for their day. The space that got me most excited was the old machine shed. When I first saw it it was filled with equipment but when I showed up to the wedding it had been completely transformed. It still kept it’s rustic nature but was now the perfect space to dance the night away. The perfect compliment to a barn wedding!
