Laura and Michael couldn’t have picked two more epic locations near Vancouver for their engagement photos. Bridal Veil Falls is a very popular tourist destination when driving from Vancouver to the interior BC but not necessarily for natural engagement photos. The nature of waterfalls makes them a difficult location to shoot at. The amount of water spraying everywhere coupled with the fact that they’ll almost always be in direct sunlight doesn’t usually scream romantic engagement photos. That said, with the right couple and shooting style waterfall engagement photos can be epic! Laura and Michael were up for getting a little bit wet and the results were some of my favorite Vancouver engagement photos. After taking a few portraits in the forest we drove deeper into Chilliwack to our final engagement photo location – Jones Lake. Jones lake is another popular spot for instagrammers because of the remote and apocolyptic feel it has. Logging around the edges of the lake has left massive tree stumps sticking out of the ground and with the mountains in the distance, there aren’t many more epic engagement locations in British Columbia. If you’ve seen any Jones Lake engagement photos before you know I just had to have Laura and Michael climb up one of the massive tree stumps. They were more than willing to make the effort and the result was some of my favorite engagement pictures I’ve ever taken. Already looking forward to the next Bridal Veil Falls engagement!
