One of the first weddings I shot this summer was in Calgary for a couple I now consider friends: Danny & Helen. I was recommended to them by a co-worker about this time last year…We went from meeting each other to me agreeing to photograph their wedding quite quickly…just the type of people they are.
I started off the day photographing them each getting ready and then headed to their old stomping grounds to take a bunch of pictures with the bridal party. They set aside a ton of time for portraits so we headed over to one of the main streets in downtown Calgary afterwards. The supposed thunderstorms were holding off so they decided to go ahead and have their ceremony out in the park. As they were being declared Mr. and Mrs. for the first time, the skies open and the rain started to fall. Like crazy. Hahaha it was something else.
