If you are planning a Manning Park wedding I suggest taking a look at some more recent photos I have taken at this mountain wedding venue:
Adrian + Rebecca’s Mountaintop Proposal
Amanda and Kyle’s Cabin Wedding
The wedding below is still equally as awesome and even though the photos were taken quite a few years ago I suggest taking a look through them! I have also included Manning Park wedding rates at the bottom of this post for those of you planning your own wedding.
Manning Park Wedding Cost
The approximate cost for a wedding at Manning Park with a guest list of 100 is $10,500 + taxes and gratuities (18%)
Specific wedding pricing is broken into three components:
Base Rate (up to 140 people): $2250 for Off-Peak dates (April, May, October and November) and $3000 for all other dates.
+

Ceremonies can be held at various locations within Manning Park for free if you book a reception package. Also included in the above rates are linens, chairs, tables as well as chairs and setup at the ceremony location. Not included are shuttle fees which I highly recommend taking advantage of.

It doesn’t get much more unique than holding your wedding at Manning Park and theres no other venue quite like it in British Columbia. This rustic wedding venue is located less than three hours from Vancouver and right in the middle of the Cascade mountain range. I have photographed plenty of weddings at the lodge and each one has been different – there are so many options! The most popular spot (and my favorite) for wedding ceremonies is on the shores of Lightning Lake. Guests are seated in the field with the lake as a backdrop and the aisle starts way up in the forest. Definitely one of the more epic entrances for a bride! Even on hot days there is often a breeze that comes off the water. This spot might be my favorite ceremony location anywhere – surrounded by mountains and forest with people paddling canoes in the distance… theres nothing quite like it! Intimate weddings have the option of holding a ceremony way up high in the Alpine Meadow. I have yet to photograph a ceremony up there but the views are some of the best in the world (more on that soon). The wood lodge that Manning Park Recently built is not only popular for receptions but also as a rainy day ceremony backup. Other reception options include The Last Resort Lodge as well as setting up on your tent on the property (another of my favorites). The Last resort lodge is a cabin setting and allows your guests to simply walk up the stairs to their rooms after the dancing is done.
When is comes to portrait locations the options are endless. My favorite is combination of Lighting Lake and the alpine meadow. Some of my favorite wedding photos have come from those locations including one that won a Junebug Best of the Best Award. The shoreline can get quite busy in the summer but the network of trails is extensive and its not hard to find a location that makes you feel like your the only one in the park. The drive up to the Alpine meadow might not be for the faint of heart but the views it affords are second to none. Overlooking all of Manning Provincial Park, there are few better places to take in a sunset. If you’re lucky enough to have your wedding early in the summer you get to witness the beautiful wildflowers that bloom all of the mountain. It takes approximately 45 minutes round trip from the lodge but I can’t recommend enough taking the time during your wedding to head up for a few portraits (ideally close to sunset :)
Now to this wedding specifically! Aaron and Leslie are my dream client. Not only are they stylish but they planned the most personal wedding day. Their tent reception setup remains my favorite to this day. Leslie wrote a few thoughts on her wedding day:
“Aaron proposed in Italy, and the evening was spent enjoying a delicious dinner overlooking the hills of Tuscany. We decided then that we wanted our guests to enjoy a similar evening at our wedding–a warm summer night with a delicious outdoor dinner surrounded by natural beauty.
Our wedding was perfect. A fun and intimate weekend spent with all those we love. A way to celebrate the joining of our lives, our families and our friends. “
