Marcus and Christy’s wedding in Richmond, BC, was a perfect mix of tradition and modern celebration. From a heartfelt tea ceremony to a beautiful portrait session in Minoru Park and a lively wedding reception at Royal Garden Seafood Restaurant, the day was full of meaningful moments.

The day started with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where Marcus and Christy served tea to their elders as a sign of respect and gratitude. This intimate event brought plenty of emotions, with laughter, tears, and warm embraces. The tea ceremony is always a great time for candid photos, capturing genuine reactions and heartfelt interactions between family members.

After the tea ceremony, the couple changed into their Western wedding outfits for a first look. Seeing each other for the first time in their wedding attire was a special moment filled with excitement. We then took some portraits in Minoru Park, where the gardens and open spaces made for a peaceful and beautiful backdrop. The natural setting and soft lighting added a romantic feel to their photos.

As evening arrived, the celebration moved to Royal Garden Seafood Restaurant, a well-known Chinese restaurant in Richmond. The venue can host up to 300 guests, making it a great choice for a large wedding reception. The banquet hall was set up with round tables and elegant decor, creating a welcoming atmosphere for the evening’s festivities.

Dinner featured a traditional multi-course Chinese banquet. Guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches, fun games, and plenty of laughter. One of the highlights of the night was Marcus and Christy’s first dance, which kicked off an evening of celebration on the dance floor.

Marcus and Christy’s wedding was a wonderful mix of cultural traditions and modern touches. It was a day full of love, laughter, and moments that they and their loved ones will remember for years to come.
