      Thanks for stopping by!

If you are interested in downtown Vancouver engagement photos I’d love to hear from you! Please use the contact form at the top of the page or email me directly at mf@mathiasfastphotography.com. In addition to engagement session I am currently booking Vancouver and Cape Town weddings for this year and next.

A quick look through the Vancouver engagement photos on my site and its pretty clear that I love shooting in nature among the forests and mountains. While it’s where I might feel most comfortable, I shot quite a bit in urban settings this year and downtown quickly became a favorite spot for urban engagement photos in Vancouver. What I love about it is how versatile it is no matter the time of day or weather. It’s not always you get light like we had for Danny and Erica’s Vancouver engagement session though. Amazing photo opportunities were around every corner. We started outside the iconic Marine Building and then made our way down the street, stopping wherever the light was best. After a quick outfit change into some dramatic evening attire, we thought we finished the engagement session on a rooftop as the sun slipped behind the mountains. It was only after we had said goodbye that I walked past some steam coming out of a nearby building and had to call them back for a few last epic engagement photos in Coal Harbour. I was grateful that one of them even one an award in the annual Junebug best of the best engagement photo contest!
