The opportunity to be creative is a massive reason why I love being a wedding and engagement photographer in Vancouver. While I am always trying to incorporate creative elements throughout a wedding day, sometimes certain ideas I have are just better suited for an engagement session. Enter Anthony and Elise. I’ve known these two for a while and their personalities fit perfectly what I had in mind for this creative portrait session. We started off in an abandoned barn in Delta – a location I had been to before but not in optimal lighting conditions. Thanks to the sun hit the barn at the right angle and a substantial amount of dust we got these incredible rays of light shooting through wall. It was wild! From there we drove along the highway and pulled over at random spots that I had seen in the past including a semi-trailer park and a container yard. We ended at a field full of tall grass and decided it was as perfect a spot as any for a pillow fight. Mayhem ensued with Anthony and Elise chasing each other all over the field and me in hot pursuit. Turns out feather pillows actually contain quite a few feathers :)
