Let’s just get this out right away – Brook and Sandy are two of the coolest people you’ll meet. Having recently moved into a new loft on Main Street in Vancouver, they wanted to start their engagement session in their first home. With drink in hand and chill music in the background, we hung out for an hour. Me photographing, them simply enjoying being in each others arms. I’m always thankful when couples ask me to photograph this period of their life but even more so when I’m invited in their home. Brook and Sandy – I’m super grateful.

After a quick stop around the corner at some the incredible murals Vancouver artists have put up, we headed out to West Vancouver and an amazing location Brook found. I’d driven by Caulfeild Park many times on my way to Lighthouse Park but never thought to stop. The jagged rocks descending into the ocean almost have an Iceland feel to them but with the iconic Vancouver skyline in the background there’s no fooling where you really are. It was the perfect end to an amazing session, and has me so stoked for their wedding up in Kelowna this summer.
