I recently photographed a beautiful wedding at Kronenburg Estate and am already looking to go back. In addition to the actual wedding ceremony I shot a number of wedding portraits with the amazing bride and groom. A little bit more about this wedding venue known for its mountain views and beautiful sunsets. One of the biggest bonuses to having your wedding at Kronenburg estate is the flexibility it allows, whether you want an indoor ceremony and reception or outdoors on the expansive lawn. This particular wedding took place all indoor and it was the perfect decision given the hot weather outside. The ceremony space was adjacent to the reception hall and lined with a wall of windows with a beautiful floral draped arch at the center. I loved the way all the bride and groom’s guests were seated in a semi-circle around them for the intimate wedding ceremony. A very unique setup and one that made for fantastic wedding photos. The outdoor option for your ceremony is the nearby amphitheater which can comfortably seat up to 250 guests – perfect if your planning a wedding with a large guest list. The moutains as a backdrop is a huge bonus and makes for an incredible setting. The wedding reception space inside is extremely spacious and can also seat 250 people for dinner. The room is extremely versatile, is bathed in natural light and would fit any type of wedding, be it a rustic celebration or a more modern affair. The arrangement for this wedding was one long table covered in bright green florals and it was stunning. Along one wall of the reception space are huge sliding doors which lead out onto massive patio – perfect for cocktail receptions. In my opinion there are few better wedding reception venues in Stellenbosch. The views you and your guests have while sipping on wine and cocktails from the full service onsite bar are unbeatable. For wedding photos of the bride and groom along with their party there is no need to leave the property. Large fields surrounding the venue make for the most epic wedding portraits. The location of this wedding venue near Stellenbosch and Paarl means there are plenty of offsite photo locations available. Many of my clients want wedding photos at a winery and this location spoils them for choice. The catering at a wedding venue is always important and with 15 years of experience the owners of Kronenburg Estate will have your guests reminiscing about the food they ate at your wedding for a long time. Another huge bonus to planning your wedding at Kronenburg Estate in Paarl is the option of getting ready onsite in the bridal room. The air conditioned space features neutral colours and also has plenty of natural light with is perfect for a wedding photographer for me who prefers to shoot in that setting. The room is also available as a honeymoon suite on the night of the wedding for the bride and groom.
