The UBC Alumni centre is one of the best modern wedding venues in Vancouver. Designed by a local renowned architectural firm, the space features floor to ceiling windows and clean lines throughout. The most impressive feature of the UBC alumni centre is the stairs that ascend from the ground floor all the way to the top. The wall of windows along one side allows for plenty of natural light – great for candid wedding photos. If you are planning your wedding at the UBC alumni centre I highly recommend hiring a wedding planner. Because the ceremony and reception space is in the same room, it requires a skilled team to flip the room in between. The UBC alumni centre is an extremely versatile venue and allows for a range of weddings. In my opinion this modern Vancouver wedding venue is best suited for large weddings and can accommodate up to 250 people. When it comes to wedding photos at the UBC alumni centre you are spoiled for choice. There are plenty of locations within walking distance on the university campus and included both nature and urban backdrops. Every UBC alumni centre wedding I have gotten to photograph has been unique and I’m already looking forward to the next one! If you are looking for a minimalist wedding venue in Vancouver that allows for lots of flexibility I highly recommend considering the UBC alumni centre.
