A couple days after arriving back in British Columbia from Cape Town I met up with Kerrie and Justin at my favorite location for engagement photos in Vancouver – Lighthouse Park. If you’ve seen any of my previous engagement sessions at Lighthouse Park you know how much I love the area. On this night it played second fiddle though to these two and their incredible rescue dog Hugo. Couples often ask if they can bring their dog along to their engagement session and my answer will forever be yes! Having a dog of my own I know exactly how much a part of the family they are :) This night was one of the warmer spring evenings in Vancouver and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick of my local wedding photography season. I’ve taken engagement photos all over Lighthouse Park but am always looking for unique locations or perspectives. For this engagement shoot I ventured a little further into the park and found a rocky outcropping I hadn’t shot at before. There’s no bad view of the sunset at Lighthouse Park but this one might have taken the cake because of the incredible way the trees framed each shot. Very much looking forward to their wedding later this summer at the newest wedding venue in the city Polygyon Art Gallery.
