If you are interested in an engagement session at Capilano Suspension Bridge, Ambleside Park or any other location in Vancouver I’d love to hear from you. Please use the contact form at the top of the page or email me directly at mf@mathiasfastphotography.com. In addition to Vancouver engagement sessions I am currently booking Vancouver and Cape Town weddings for this year and next.

A huge reason why I love being a wedding photographer is that it allows me to meet awesome people. Cheesy but true :) Jenn and Dhawal are two of the best – minutes into their session and I had already forgotten that we just met. We ran around Capilano suspension bridge trying to hit up the best spots before they closed and then headed down to Ambleside as the sun was setting. Their wedding later this summer up in Kelowna is going to nothing short of amazing!

A little bit more about Capilano suspension bridge and what makes it one of the best locations for engagement photos in Vancouver. Located just a short drive from downtown Vancouver, the suspension bridge is so much more than just that. My favorite spot for engagement photos at Capilano suspension bridge is the treetop walk. The perspective from so high up in the trees makes for very unique Vancouver engagement photos. A quick tip for those of you planning on a Capilano suspension bridge engagement session – start your photos a little earlier in the evening as you would elsewhere. The treetop walk especially is right in the forest and it gets darker there earlier than it does right by the water. The surrounding moutains also means the sun sets earlier. As this is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vancouver you can expect a lot of people. Despite this, the area is so big that its not too hard to get engagement photos at capilano without people in the background. The cliff walk is also a popular spot for engagement photos. We ran out of time on this session but I highly recommend checking it out. The suspension bridge is located at the base of Grouse Mountain and right in the middle of the PNW forest. If you’re after unique engagement photos in the Vancouver forest I highly recommend this location!
